With its stunning architecture, streets steeped in history and a musical tradition spanning centuries, Prague is currently one of Europe’s top city break destinations. In recent years it has emerged as a serious contender to the Parises, Londons or Viennas as a centre for European culture. And, with hundreds of cheap flights out to the Czech capital, exploring this beautiful city’s treasures has never been easier.

Classical music lovers should head over to the city in May for the 68th Prague Spring International Music Festival. Founded in 1946, the festival takes place at venues across the city from the Rudilfinum to the Old Town Square to the St James Basilica.

Lots for Art Lovers Too

Art lovers can visit the permanent exhibitions at the National Gallery and The Picture Gallery at Prague Castle. Prague is also an incredibly family friendly destination with Museum of Toys on Jirska, the Ghost Mueseum at Mostecka 18, as well as the Prague Zoo on U Trojskeno zamku 3/120.

And when you have finally worn yourselves out, you can take a seat at one of the many bars and beer gardens and indulge in one of the city’s greatest tourist attractions, their excellent beer.

All of this is available with cheap flights to Prague from Jet2.com.
