A Short Guide to Paris

The structure behind me is one that needs no introduction. It is of course, the Eiffel Tower.

Affectionately known as ‘The Iron Lady’ by locals, the Eiffel Tower is an essential stop on any sightseeing trip to Paris. However if you can’t stomach a trip to the top, there are other great ways to admire the Tower.

You could take a boat trip down the Seine for some truly unique photo opportunities, or if you didn’t pack your sea legs, visit the Place du Trocadero on the north side of the river which should also be relatively tourist free as a bonus!

When your tummy starts to rumble you might find restaurant prices around the Tower a little hard to stomach. That is a great excuse though to try out one of the many street food vendors dotted all over the city. And whilst out exploring, The Louvre and Arc De Triomphe are easily accessible just a couple of Metro stops away.

It also wouldn’t be a trip to Paris without a glass of French champagne, at one of Paris’ rooftop bars like that atop the Terrass Hotel. Visit in the evening for stunning views of Paris by night, and an opportunity to see the Eiffel Tower in its most magnificent light.
