Announcements

One hundred years after the opening of the famous San Miguel market in Madrid, La Laguna in Tenerife is set to open its own taste of Spain. It is hoped that this new market, the Mercado de San Pablo, will be just as desirable and popular as its mainland counterpart, so people booking cheap flights to Tenerife will be able to experience Spanish traditions in a new area.

Pablo Montensinos, the man behind the new project, has always been fascinated by the San Miguel market. He thinks the new San Pablo market will provide a lot for the town; the aim is that tourists who come to experience it will also give their business to the other shops and restaurants in the area.

Now Is the Time to Book

The market has certainly gained a lot of speculation and expectations, and the blend of traditional produce as well as a large variety of other foods and drinks is expected to receive tremendous interest.

The San Pablo market will be situated in the old town of Calle Herradores, and will feature in a three storey building full of market stalls and various places to try local and international cuisine. It is expected to be open every day – longer at weekends – and more than 200 jobs will be created.

Spaces at the market have almost all been filled and the opening date is this October, so now is the time to book cheap flights to Tenerife with Jet2.com and be the first to experience the Mercado de San Pablo.
