There are numerous outdoor markets on Ibiza Island and each one is a great place to walk around, get a bit to eat and, of course, pick up the odd bargain or two. Most markets take place weekly and always bring out the locals as well as tourists, making for a wonderful atmosphere.
Ibiza markets tend to start around 10am and usually finish around 2pm but during peak holiday season a lot of the markets are more frequent and stay open until the early evening. Below is a list of popular Ibiza markets:
Famous Hippy Market – Es Cana
The most popular market on Ibiza Island is the Punta Arabi Hippy Market. You’ll find it in the Holiday Club grounds in the eastern town of Es Cana where you’ll find everything from handmade jewellery to exotic batik wraps.
Las Dalias Night Market – San Carlos
Shop under the stars and experience the hustle and bustle of this atmospheric market, which traditionally takes place on a Monday evening from 8pm until late. The market sells a little bit of everything including vegetables, fruit, leather goods, souvenirs and clothes.
San Jordi Car Boot Market
This market stays open all year round but it’s well worth a visit during the summer because you can practically buy anything.
