Announcements

This summer, the Balearic Islands offer paradise for all ages and tastes, from family-friendly beach holidays in Majorca to indie-dance raves in Ibiza and laid-back walking holidays in Menorca.

The fact that it is easy to find cheap flights to the Balearic Island is a sign that this group of Mediterranean islands has long been a firm favourite with British holidaymakers.

Menorca is definitely the most laid-back of the three Balearic Islands, though certainly not a boring location. Great for walking and cycling holidays and known for its wide selection of well-maintained yet reasonably priced villas, more and more people look set to flock to Menorca in 2013.

From Parties to Family Time

Ibiza has maintained its reputation as the must-visit party destination of Europe thanks to its super clubs, live music venues and the Ibiza Rocks series of concerts that take place on the island every year. This year's line-up includes indie rockers The Vaccines and cheeky chappy rappers Rizzlekicks. A must-visit for music loving twenty-somethings, Ibiza looks set to retain its crown as hedonistic party capital of the Med for years to come.

Young families are being urged to try Majorca if they are looking for a cheap holiday that offers sun, sea, sand and plenty of fun. Lively enough to keep the kids entertained but less ‘in your face’ than its neighbour, Magaluf, Palma Nova is famed for its family-friendly atmosphere and sandy beaches.

Jet2.com offer cheap flights to the Balearic Islands, meaning that a break in the sun should not break the bank.
