Cinephiles Will Flock to Paris this June

From the 6th of June a touch of movie magic comes to Paris with the inaugural Champs-Elysées Film Festival.

The festival aims to showcase the best in new and classic American and French cinema, and this year features over a dozen national and world premieres. 

The American Academy of Motion Pictures looms large over this first festival; industry titan Harvey Weinstein is the subject of a tribute and career retrospective, with showings of many of his greatest productions, and Foreign language Oscar winners also feature heavily, with a programme of the finest in contemporary world cinema, including a screening of 2012 Foreign Language Oscar winner Une Séparation from Iran.

Stunning Cinemas

The screenings and events will take place along the length of the Champs-Elysées in the many stunning cinemas that are to be found along the world famous avenue – the Balzac Cinema in particular is one of the grandest to be found anywhere in the city, and is a Parisian landmark.

All of this and much, much more, packed into a week in June. The length of the beautiful Champs-Elysées will be bustling with international A-listers, film stars and cinephiles from the world over.
