For the shrewd bargain hunter, Paris becomes a magnetic destination during the summer months. Traditionally, French stores have sales that last for several weeks in July and August, attracting shoppers from all over France and the rest of Europe. If you’re planning to visit the City of Love at some point, the summer is always a good time.
Many of the world’s most fashionable stores can be found on the streets of Paris, including the high end boutiques of the best known clothes designers. When their stores cut prices in the summer, the consumer can save a small fortune. It’s no wonder so many wise shoppers make their way to France every time the sales are on.

Needless to say, there is so much more than shopping to keep you busy in this wonderful city. With so many landmarks to see, an organised sightseeing bus trip offers an excellent way to take in all Paris has to offer. On a sunny afternoon, sitting on the top deck of an open-top vehicle can be a little slice of heaven for the tourist.
One of the most popular landmarks in Paris is the Arc de Triomphe. Its home to the tomb of France’s Unknown Soldier, and remains a poignant reminder of the country’s past. Located on a busy roundabout in the city centre, it offers an excellent photo opportunity to the passing tourist.
With cheap flights to Paris currently available from the UK, there has never been a better time to head to this remarkable city. While some people choose to go by ferry and car, a plane ride is far quicker.
