Providing some good news for Scotland's holidaymakers, leading low fare airline, Jet2.com, has announced a 70% increase on its Edinburgh to Faro route for summer 2010.
Jet2.com's popular Edinburgh to Faro service will now operate four times a week during the summer period (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays) helping people in the region to get away for less next year. Summer season departures have also been brought forward to start 1st May 2010 and extended to 31st October 2010, giving even more choice for holidaymakers in 2010.
The move represents a 70% capacity increase on the route and further underlines Jet2.com's commitment to people in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
Philip Meeson, boss of Jet2.com, said: "Edinburgh is an extremely important base and we are committed to providing our customers with flexibility and great value for money when it comes to their holidays."
"With other operators ceasing services from this airport we have stepped in to ensure that the demand for flights and summer holidays from Edinburgh in 2010 can continue to be met."
Fares from Edinburgh to Faro start from £34.99 one way including taxes. Flights depart four times a week from 1st May to 31st October 2010. For more information visit www.Jet2.com.
