Gran Canaria celebrated the launch of the world’s fourth Angry Birds Activity Park with a huge opening day event on 31 October 2013.
The opening was attended by press, tourism industry members and more than 550 schoolchildren from across the south of Gran Canaria.
The new Angry Birds park will span more than 5,000 square feet, which makes it the largest of its kind. In a joint venture by Angry Birds’ Finnish creator Rovio and Holiday Club Resorts, the park features fun indoor and outdoor activities including zip lines, catapults and climbing frames.
As well as its wacky and vibrant activities, the park will even offer a birthday party service, perfect for young fans of the game.
Based in Puerto Rico, the park is conveniently located in the south of Gran Canaria, close to Playa de los Amadores, a beautiful white coral beach with sand imported from the Caribbean. As the weather remains sunny all year round, the Angry Birds Activity Park will be an ideal attraction for families on both winter sun and summer holidays.
Jet2.com flights and Jet2holidays package holidays to Gran Canaria are available from East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle.
