Airline awarded for Best Airline for Value for Money and Best Airline Cabin Crew
Jet2.com, the leading leisure airline with
friendly low fares, has scooped two prestigious travel awards at the
Holiday Extras Customers' Awards 2010.
The Yorkshire based airline won the silver award in the ‘Best
Airline for Value for Money’ category and bronze for 'Best Airline Cabin
Crew' category.
The UK travel industry's accolades were presented by leading
travel writer and TV personality Simon Calder at an exclusive event on
Thursday 16 September at London’s Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA).
During the summer of 2010, more than 24,000 HolidayExtras.com
customers cast their votes in the second annual Holiday Extras
Customers’ Awards. Travellers rated their air travel experience across
twelve categories, voting for 112 airlines, 28 UK airports and hundreds
of airport hotels, lounges, car parks as well as their favourite travel
personalities.
Ian Doubtfire, managing director of Jet2.com, said: "We're delighted to be adding these two awards to our growing list of accolades. At Jet2.com
we pride ourselves on providing the very best experience for our
customers, from low fares, and generous baggage allowance right through
to convenient flight times and attentive, friendly cabin crew."
Matthew Paxton, HolidayExtras.com's chief operating officer,
said: "It was great to see so many of the industry’s best performers
here to celebrate success, decided by the most important people in
travel – our customers.
"I want to congratulate all of the winners and shortlisted
companies on consistently providing top quality service which UK
travellers have recognised. And good luck for next year!
