Two Yorkshire charities have received a donation of almost £1,500 thanks to the staff of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, Yorkshire’s leading leisure airline and package holiday company.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Candlelighters, which helps families affected by childhood cancer, will split the money between them. The money was raised by a charity raffle at the Jet2.com and Jet2holidays Christmas Party, held at Headingley Stadium – staff members bought tickets all proceeds of which is being donated to the charities. Prizes donated by a number of organisations included a flying lesson, Harvey Nicholls vouchers, a 32 inch TV, champagne, tickets to see The Script, and the top prize holiday with Jet2holidays.
Ian Doubtfire, managing director of Jet2.com said: "Everyone involved had a fantastic evening and we are just delighted that we could raise such a substantial amount of money for two such worthy charities."
