- Named by Budapest Airport as the Fastest Growing Low-Cost Airline
Jet2.com is celebrating further awards success after being named Fastest Growing Low-Cost Airline in 2011 at Budapest Airport’s annual gala awards.
Recently named Best Short Haul Airline at the UK’s coveted Globe Travel Awards 2012, this latest accolade recognises Jet2.com’s contribution to Budapest Airport with its existing routes from Manchester and Edinburgh airports.
The leading leisure airline’s growth in Budapest is set to continue as the first flight to the Hungarian capital from Leeds Bradford International Airport takes off on 29th March, giving Yorkshire holidaymakers the chance to experience all the city has to offer.
Jet2.com joined 180 guests including fellow airline operators, travel agencies, hotel partners and other travel trade associates for the prestigious ceremony. Held at the VAM Design Center in Budapest, it beat off tough competition to win the award.
Nick Louden, Airports & Tourism Organisations Manager, collects the award for Jet2.com
Ian Doubtfire, said, “We are thrilled to be recognised by the airport as the Fastest Growing Low-Cost Airline just as the first flights from Leeds Bradford are soon to take off to the city.
