Low Fares Flights Now High Entertainment

15th December 2010, the north's leading leisure airline with friendly low fares, is set to revolutionise low fares flights with high quality inflight entertainment.

In a move that is a first for the low fares market in Europe has introduced an exciting new inflight multimedia entertainment option. customers can now enjoy current blockbuster movies, top TV shows, music tracks from chart topping albums and can play popular games on inflight entertainment units.

In flight entertainment unit

Paul Humphreys, retail director of, said, "We're proud to be able to offer such high quality inflight entertainment – this is a first for low fares flights customers in Europe. The content is on demand so customers can watch what they want, when they want and have the freedom to pause, rewind or fast forward."

 Paul continued, "The new inflight entertainment is another way in which fulfils its 'more for less' ethos – which provides customers with great service, allocated seats, legroom, 22kg baggage allowance and points for free flights with MyJet2. Our customers will now enjoy their flight even more with their own personal multimedia device."

The inflight entertainment systems are available for flights of four hours or more – therefore passengers on flights to the Canary Islands, Greek Islands, Cyprus, Israel, and Egypt the time can enjoy movies, TV, music and games on flights to or from their holiday.

The personal inflight entertainment units can be attached to the seat in front or can stand on the seat back tray table. The units can be prebooked online or can be hired on board, subject to availability, for £10 per sector or as part of a family bundle of baggage and seat selection.

In flight entertainment

The devices, made by viliv, have a high resolution seven inch touchscreen and quality audio delivered through a set of ear phones which the customer can keep, or as the units have a standard headphone jack they can choose to use their own headphones with the unit. The screen has a good viewing angle meaning there is no loss of clarity when sharing the unit. sells headphone splitters onboard the aircraft making it possible to share a device between two people – ideal for the kids.

The devices have content for kids and adults. Younger flyers can currently enjoy the movie Despicable Me, TV including - Wallace and Gromit, Sponge Bob Square Pants and What's New Scooby Do. Choices for grown ups include the movies Inception, The Twilight Saga Eclipse and Sex And The City 2, TV programmes such as Dragon's Den, Friends, Blackadder The Third, entertaining games like Sudoku, Hold 'em Poker and Chinese Solitaire and music tracks from dozens of albums from top artists - Lady Gaga, Gorillaz, The Beatles, R.E.M.,U2, Oasis, Michael Jackson and The Verve to name a few.
