The Spanish island has
been rated one of the best for all-inclusive holidays.
Online travel advisors
travelsupermarket.com has announced its top ten list of all-inclusive
destinations, with Menorca being included in the top five.
The demand for
all-inclusive holidays has increased in recent years. With travel costs coupled
with accommodation, food and entertainment in a single price, offers have
become a high priority both for tourists in saving money, and for travel agents
in competing in an increasingly competitive market.
A
Popular Part of Spain
Menorca has been a
relatively new entrant in the all-inclusive market, having previously had few
offers available. But the reaction to the Balearic Island’s hotels has been
quick, with accommodation and cheap flights to Menorca made available with Jet2.com
and sister company Jet2holidays.com helping them rank
fourth on travelsupermarket.com.
Menorca itself is one of
the Balearic Islands and can be found in the Mediterranean Sea. A part of
Spain, the island has a vast and interesting history, with megalithic stone
monuments that date as far back as the prehistoric period.
It also has an array of
beautiful beaches that are a major attraction for tourists, ranging in size and
structure to appeal to a diverse amount of holiday makers. It also has annual
fiestas and festivals, during which celebrations take place throughout the
island.
