Leading leisure airline named runner up in ‘Best Airline’ category

Leading leisure airline, Jet2.com, is celebrating after being voted runner up in the ‘Best Airline’ category in the TravelMole Web Awards 2011.

The national awards recognise excellence in online travel and Jet2.com beat off strong competition from 45 rival airlines to be named runner up in the category, second only to Emirates.  The airline learned of the accolade at the TravelMole Web Awards ceremony in London on Wednesday 13 July 2011.

Jet2.com’s popular website has been chosen not only for the ease with which customers can research and book great value leisure flights to over 50 city, sun and ski destinations, but also for giving passengers complete flexibility to be able to tailor their travel requirement to suit their individual needs.

Steve Lee, commercial director of Jet2.com, commented:  “We are delighted to have been voted runner up in the category, and subsequently the number one airline in the UK.  We have worked hard to make our booking process as easy and stress-free as possible.  Our ‘Manage My Booking Feature,’ for example, gives passengers complete control over how they want to travel – enabling them to add meals, baggage, select seats, check in online and print boarding passes.
