Leading
leisure airline named runner up in ‘Best Airline’ category
Leading leisure airline,
Jet2.com,
is celebrating after being voted runner up in the ‘Best Airline’ category in
the TravelMole Web Awards 2011.

The national awards
recognise excellence in online travel and Jet2.com beat off strong competition
from 45 rival airlines to be named runner up in the category, second only to Emirates. The airline learned of the accolade at the
TravelMole Web Awards ceremony in London on Wednesday 13 July 2011.
Jet2.com’s popular
website has been chosen not only for the ease with which customers can research
and book great value leisure flights to over 50 city, sun and ski destinations,
but also for giving passengers complete flexibility to be able to tailor their
travel requirement to suit their individual needs.
Steve Lee, commercial
director of Jet2.com, commented: “We
are delighted to have been voted runner up in the category, and subsequently the number one airline in the UK. We have worked hard to make our booking
process as easy and stress-free as possible.
Our ‘Manage My Booking Feature,’ for example, gives passengers complete
control over how they want to travel – enabling them to add meals, baggage,
select seats, check in online and print boarding passes.
“In addition, our informative
Destination Guides allow people to get a true feel for the places they want to
jet away to – we have even developed a dedicated ski section which provides detailed
information on every resort and even
live ‘snow cams’ so conditions can be viewed in real time. Our customer loyalty proves that we’ve
got it right but it’s great to get such recognition from the trade.”
As well as making it easy for people to book flights, Jet2.com
also rewards loyalty with its myJet2 loyalty scheme. Registered
customers collect one myJet2 point for
every £1 spent on all Jet2.com bookings and pre-booked
extras, such as an in-flight meals, entertainment or extra leg room, which can
then be redeemed against future trips.
