Potential strikes by Spanish airport workers has been called off after a preliminary deal was reached between the airport authority and trade unions.
Ian Doubtfire, Managing Director of Jet2.com, commented on the news, “The news that the strikes have been called off is great for holidaymakers as British people love to holiday in Spain and its islands. The strikes threatened the busy Easter period and key dates across the summer – so people can now look forward to their breaks to Spain without fear of disruption.
“The fact that Easter falls late this year makes it a great opportunity to enjoy a week or two in one of the Spanish cities or resorts enjoying average temperatures of 25 degrees. There are still seats available but if people want to travel to Spain they should book now as this news will undoubtedly cause a rush of bookings.”
11 destinations in Spain are offered by Jet2.com, the North’s leading leisure airline, and its sister company package holiday specialist Jet2holidays, from 8 northern airports.
