Over 50,000 dance music lovers will gather at Spaarnwoude Recreation Ground on August the 6th for the country’s biggest open-air dance music festival. Spaarnwoude is an idyllic nature reserve just a few miles outside Amsterdam’s city centre within easy reach of hotels and public transport.
The event is well known for its friendly vibe, state-of-the-art sound systems and spectacular laser shows and features some of the biggest DJ’s, rock bands and upcoming artists in the world performing on a number of stages around the venue.
Now in its 17th year, the festival brings together both mainstream and alternative dance music with styles such as house, techno, progressive and trance. To add to the eclectic line up there’s also a Tribute Stage featuring tribute bands to: Pink Floyd, Bruce Springsteen and AC/DC.
More than Music
As well as music, festival goers can enjoy a wide variety of food stalls and bars. There are also shops, chill out zones and other fun activities taking place throughout the day.
If you are planning to attend this one day event, tickets must be booked in advance at the dance valley website. Tickets do sell out fast so don’t leave it too late. You will find a wide range of accommodation options available in the city ranging from hotels to campsites, as well as cheap flights to Amsterdam at Jet2.com.
