Famous for its cheap drinks, Prague is a favourite with groups of friends and couples looking for a fun weekend away that won’t blow the budget. However with so many tempting tipples to choose from it can be tough to know where to start, so here’s our guide to what to drink after arriving on cheap Jet2.com flights to Prague.
Previously thought to have hallucinogenic qualities, absinthe is now safe to enjoy responsibly - a fact to which the locals of Prague can attest. The ‘Green Fairy’ is widely available in Prague and there are even bars dedicated to it, but do stick to only small quantities, as it’s still a very potent drink.
After arriving on cheap flights to Prague it’s possible to get a glass of beer for less than the price of mineral water or soda, but Czech beers aren’t just inexpensive, they’re also pretty good. Some of the best known Czech beers are Pils, Budvar and Staropramen, which you may already be familiar with right here in the UK.
Fancy trying something new in Prague? Sample some Becherovka, a liquor made from a secretive recipe of 40 different types of herbs that dates back to the 19th Century. It can be drunk by itself, but it’s also a popular ingredient in cocktails.
