There’s something wonderful about outdoor markets, especially the ones abroad in popular holiday destinations like the Algarve. If you want to sample the flavour of local 'wheeling and dealing' during your visit to the Algarve then why not go along to one of Loule’s Saturday spring markets.
The markets run until June 9th at the Praca da Republica in Loule and are based around different themes each week including: arts and crafts, books, music, antiques and pleasures and experiences.
With its lively markets, great restaurants and proximity to some of the Algarve's finest beaches, Loule is the perfect destination for those who want to enjoy a relaxing beach holiday while based in a traditional and authentic Portuguese town.
Loule is situated 10 miles to the north of Faro. The landmark church of Nossa Senhora da Piedade - a modern dome shaped building - can easily be spotted on a hill as you approach the town.
Seemingly a world away from some of the Algarve's purpose-built resorts, Loule is a charming town that makes a great base for any Algarve holiday. From here you can easily reach beaches like Quarteira, Vilamoura and Rocha Baixinha Leste.
Cheap flights to the Algarve are available at Jet2.com from many UK airports. Flights go from Belfast, Blackpool, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle.
