Sight Seeing in Barcelona

Barcelona offers many amazing sights that are not to be missed during a trip to the city.

Park Güell is a stunning city garden. Created by Gaudi, it epitomises the architect’s radical and fluid style, with amazing mosaic structures complimenting the surrounding woodland. The park has a magical feel, created by its intertwining columns and colourful patterns. Key features are the famous dragon fountain and Gaudi museum.

The Sagrada Familia is Gaudi's great unfinished temple which is a truly breathtaking site. This monument to the visionary architect soars above the streets of Barcelona and is the most unique and unforgettable structure you are likely to see during your Barcelona city break.

The Barri Gòtic (Gothic Quarter) is a maze of narrow streets, grand churches and ancient ruins. Among which you can find local markets, funky shops, cool bars and restaurants. From the Barri Gòtic you can easily walk to the famous Las Ramblas, a street which is home to many street performers & artists (check out the naked caricaturist!), outside cafes & bars and the Gaudi-esque food market.

The beach at Barceloneta is easily accessible from Barceloneta Metro station. There are also other nearby beaches at Nova Icària, Mar Bella and Bogatell easily accessible from Barcelona.

For fans of artist Salavdor Dali it's worth venturing further North to his former home in Port Lligat and also to visit Figueras, with surreal Museu Dali adorned by gigantic eggs on the roof.
