What is the price of a ticket for an infant?
Infants under the age of 2 years (on the date of departure of the flight concerned) may fly for a small charge of GBP 20 / EUR 27 / CHF 40 / CZK 720 / PLN 110 per flight sector, provided they sit on the knee of a fare paying adult who has responsibility for that infant. Only one infant per adult is permitted to book and travel with Jet2.com. The minimum age for an infant to be carried by Jet2.com is 14 days after birth, however, carriage of very young infants is always strictly at our discretion.
Do I receive a luggage allowance for my infant or children?
You do not receive a full luggage allowance for your infant, but you do for any child over the age of 2 for whom you have purchased a seat. For your family's convenience, subject to local conditions, collapsible pushchairs/ buggies may be used up to the aircraft steps/air bridge and can be reclaimed immediately upon disembarkation or at Baggage Reclaim. Collapsible pushchairs/buggies or children's car seats up to a total maximum weight of 10kg (for both items) do not form part of the baggage allowance and may be carried free of charge as checked luggage for any infant or child on the booking. These items will be carried on a limited release basis, subject to space availability on the aircraft - if there is insufficient space, the items will be forwarded on the next available flight. We strongly recommend you have appropriate insurance for these items. Anything over the allocated 10kgs will be charged for at the prevailing excess baggage charge.
Can I carry baby supplies?
If you are travelling with a baby it is wise to have extra supplies of necessary infant items in your hand baggage, such as infant milk (powdered or liquid form) and nappies. Please be aware that baby milk and foods may be required to be tasted or tested by the responsible adult/airport security.
Can I check in on-line if I am travelling with an infant?
If you are travelling with an infant then your party will have the option to select online check-in when making your booking so you are charged the lower of the two check in fees, however you will have to check-in at the airport to ensure that your infant is seated in an appropriate seat and no additional fee will be charged for this.
Car Seats and Pushchairs
Collapsible pushchairs/buggies or children's car seats up to a total maximum weight of 10kg (for both items) do not form part of the baggage allowance and may be carried free of charge on a limited release basis as checked luggage. If the combined weight is more than 10kgs excess baggage charges will apply. There must be an infant or child on the booking.
What age does my infant need to be to travel?
The minimum age of an infant accepted for travel is 14 days after birth.
Can I use our car seat for my infant?
People travelling with infants or very young children (aged 6 months to 24 months and weight 9-18kg) may be able to use their own car type infant seats, subject to its suitability, onboard our aircraft. Car seats must be front facing and of the type that can be properly secured on the aircraft seat by use of the normal aircraft seat lap straps.
Please note that the standard dimensions of our aircraft seats are as follows: Depth 24.5cm, Width 43.6cm and Height 70.5cm.
Customers wishing to use their own infant car seats must purchase an aircraft seat which will be charged at the appropriate fare. For safety reasons, a window seat will be allocated wherever possible. Please be advised that with the number and variety of infant car seats available on the market, it is not possible for us to guarantee in advance that any particular seat is suitable for use. In the interests of safety, Jet2.com reserves the right to refuse permission for the use of certain types of car seats on the aircraft or during take off and landing. In these circumstances the infant must be carried on the adults lap (under 2 years) or in a seat using the standard lap belt (2 years and over). Safety is always our first consideration.
Do I have to pay the full ticket price for my children?
All children over the age of 2 are charged the adult ticket price and it is a safety requirement that they occupy their own seat for take off and landing and when the seatbelt sign is displayed.
Can children under the age of 14 travel alone?
No, children under the age of 14 years can only travel if accompanied by a person aged 16 years or over who will take full responsibility for them. Special conditions apply to some countries of origin and destination.
Restraints for Children with Special Requirements
As the needs of children can vary greatly, we are unable to provide any other restraint except for the normal lap belt. Subject to prior confirmation from our call centre, restraints may be used on board in order to assist with the travel of children with special needs. Any restraint used would have to be front facing and be able to be properly secured on the aircraft seat by use of the normal aircraft seat lap straps.

Can expectant mothers fly?
There are no special restrictions on pregnant women travelling up to and including the 27th week of pregnancy. Between the 28th and 33rd week of pregnancy travel will only be permitted with a doctor's certificate confirming the stage of pregnancy and fitness to fly which needs to be dated within 7 days of the outbound date of travel and 16 days of the inbound date of travel. The expectant mother has the responsibility to ensure that their condition has not changed since obtaining the Fitness to Fly Certificate and that they feel fit and well to travel. Expectant mothers of 34 weeks or more on the return flight will not be permitted to fly under any circumstances. This means that both the outbound and return parts of the journey must be completed before the end of the 33rd week, not into the 34th week.
What name do I put in the booking for a baby that has not yet been born?
Book the unborn baby as an infant and put Unborn as the first name and Baby as the surname. Once the baby has been born and has been named, if you call our Call centre, they will change the name free of charge.
Do you allow the carriage of animals in the cabin?
We are pleased to carry registered assistance dogs on all UK domestic flights and international airports where national rules permit. Flights must be booked through our dedicated Assistance Team on +44 (0) 8444 721031 or +44 (0)203 059 8337 if calling from overseas so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Unfortunately we are unable to carry any other animal in the cabin of our aircraft.
Do you allow the carriage of animals in the hold?
