Renowned as one of the most beautiful villages in Corfu, Paleokastritsa is located 16 miles north-west of Corfu Town. A well known beauty spot, the resort's stunning scenery and superb beaches, surrounded by tall cliffs and lush green olive groves and lemon trees make it a truly stunning place.
One of the largest resorts in Corfu, Paleokastritsa has 6 large sand and fine pebble beaches with warm and clear water. There are facilities for scuba-diving as well as many other water sports including surfing and wind-surfing.
There are a few places of interest, including the intriguing Monastery and the remains of Angelokastro perched high on a rock over looking the resort. You can take a boat on an excursion to nearby resorts such as Corfu Town and Aghios Georgios or simply sail around the coast admiring the stunning views.
There are plenty of little gift shops and mini markets to supply you with all of the essentials, as well as some great restaurants and tavernas for when you get peckish.
The nightlife is not lively but you will find plenty of bars and tavernas where you can have a cocktail or three and learn traditional Greek dancing from the local waiters.

Paleokastritsa is the location of some of the most beautiful beaches in Corfu. Six picturesque bays form the coastline where the beaches are either sand or fine pebbles; all are clean and safe with warm clear water and most offer a range of water sports.
The ancient ruin of Angelokastro is perched high on rock overlooking the beautiful bays and the ocean. You will also find a chapel and even an ancient shrine built inside a cave for an intriguing insight into former life on the island as well as fantastic views.
Paleokastritsa has many restaurants varying from traditional Greek, British and International cuisine and to suit all budgets from cheap and cheerful to more luxurious dining. Seafood is freshly caught and served in a number of tasty dishes with lobster as a delicious local speciality that you must try. Visit Poisedon, one of the best restaurants in the resort for great food and a fantastic location overlooking the sea.
