Ixia
Overview
This small modern resort lies approx 6km from the airport, and is a very popular resort with visitors to the island as it is quieter than it counterparts, but near to the buzzing nightlife of Faliraki and Rhodes Town. Ixia mainly consists of one long road with hotels, friendly bars and restaurants and some small supermarkets to purchase refreshments to take to the beach during the day. The coastline is very pretty with lovely beaches and small boats bobbing along the tranquil waters.
Discover some Greek history up on the Hill of Filerimos where the remains of the ancient Temple of Zeus stands. When the sun goes down you will find plenty of good restaurants to enjoy a meal. If you are looking for a lively night out then try the Taj Mahal - an oriental themed nightclub playing mainstream dance music, make sure you dress to impress!

Watersports
The resort boasts plenty of small stretches of beach, both sand and pebble whether you fancy sunbathing, paddling or taking a stroll along the beach as the sun goes down. Ixia is great for beach activities as it has 2 watersports centres where you can rent out jet skis and it is a very popular spot for windsurfing and snorkelling.
