Oristano
Overview
Oristano is towards the West of Sardinia near the town of Alghero. Less busy than Olbia and Porto Cervo there is still plenty to see and do in this lovely Sardinian town. The Tower of St Christopher and the Cathedral of St Mary are popular places to visit; the Cathedral is built in a Baroque style which is traditional of many historical sights in Sardinia. Another sight to visit is Santa Chiara a beautiful French Gothic style building.
Visitors to Oristano looking for good nightlife will not be disappointed either with cafes, bars and one of Sardinia’s best nightclubs Boa Goa which has DJs playing all the latest dance music late into the night.

Thermal Baths and The Ruins of Tharros
The ancient centre of Forum Triani is home to the remainders of the Thermal Baths as well as other ruins of the amphitheatre and underground tombs. Near to Oristano is the Ruins of Tharros, this ancient archaeological sight is a fascinating sight to visit for those holidaymakers looking for a bit of culture.
