Euphrasian Basilica

The Euphrasian Basilica is one of the most famous sights in Porec and an absolute must see when visiting this historic town. Built in the 6th century during the time of Bishop Euphrasius, the Episcopal complex of buildings includes a bell tower and baptistery. The interior is richly ornamented in the Byzantine style and is a wonderful place to explore.

Porec has one of the highest concentrations of sports facilities in Croatia with many professional sports teams choosing to use the town as a base when training. Sports available include cycling, horse-riding and tennis as well as popular water sports such as windsurfing, diving and water-skiing at one of the 15 blue flag beaches in the resort.
