Trianda

Overview

Trianda is the perfect place to holiday if you're after an authentic Greek resort. In less than 30 minutes transfer time from the airport you can be enjoying the laidback and relaxed feel of this town. Meaning 'thirty' the resort is named Trianda this because of the thirty stone houses built by the Knights of St John.

Trianda has a beautiful pebble beach with views of Turkey on a clear day and windsurfing is a popular activity here; you can get tuition from the windsurfing club if you fancy trying it out. Take a stroll to the quaint old village square where you will find some lovely small shops including jewellery shops perfect for buying gifts to take home.

For some history visit the Byzantine Monastery and ancient ruins in Filerimos (just outside the resort) and walk through the olive groves to take in the lush green scenery. When the sun goes down have a cocktail in one of the beach bars along the waterfront, you will also be able to enjoy some traditional live Greek music being played at some of the tavernas. If you fancy a livelier night out then it's only a short taxi or bus ride to nearby Ixia and Rhodes Town.
