Changes to the myJet2 scheme

What's happening to the myJet2 points scheme?

To make way for a fantastic new, improved myJet2 scheme, the points scheme is coming to a close. For details on the new myJet2, visit the myJet2 notice board.

As of 10th April 2013 you are no longer able to earn myJet2 points. You can continue to redeem points in your account until their usual expiry date (provided you have sufficient points to redeem). This means you'll still have two years from the date you earned your points to redeem them. To check the status of your points, you can login to your account and visit the 'My points' page at any time. Please note, where you have a nil points balance for three months, your 'My points' page will be removed.

How do I join the new, improved myJet2 scheme?

existing myJet2 members are automatically members of the new myJet2 scheme. New members can join at www.myJet2.com

Can I still redeem my points?

You can continue to redeem points in your account until their usual expiry date (provided you have sufficient points to redeem). This means you'll still have two years from the date you earned your points to redeem them. To check the status of your points, you can login to your account and visit the 'My points' page at any time. Please note, where you have a nil points balance for three months, your 'My points' page will be removed.

What if I don't have enough points to redeem?

If you have reached a points balance of 600 points at least once during your membership, and have a current balance of 200 points or more, you are eligible to redeem your points in the reward seat sale - flights are available from as few as 200 points one-way. Find out more.

myJet2 - Membership

Can I merge separate myJet2 accounts together?

Where more than one myJet2 account has been created for the same person, it is not possible to combine the accounts to create a single account. It is also not possible to combine the accounts of two individual members.

What happens if my name changes after I have registered with myJet2?

If you change your name, you can update your myJet2 profile by logging in at www.myJet2.com and visiting the 'edit account' page.

How do I update my email address?

You can update the email address in your myJet2 profile by logging in at www.myJet2.com and visiting the 'edit account' page.

Earning Points

To make way for the new myJet2 scheme, as of 10th April 2013 points can no longer be earned. Please see the myJet2 terms and conditions.

Spending Points

When can I start spending my points?

To be eligible to use your myJet2 points as payment towards a flight booking for the first time, you will need to have reached a points balance of 600 points. Thereafter there is no minimum points balance required in order to be eligible to redeem, beyond needing enough points to pay for the flight chosen.

What can I spend my points on?

You can use your points towards payment for future flight bookings with Jet2.com. Your points will pay for the base air fare. You will have to pay for any baggage charges, airport taxes or surcharges, or other supplements. Points cannot be spent on group bookings of 10 or more passengers. Points can also be spent to get discounts on Jet2holidays packages. See the myJet2 notice board at www.myJet2.com for more details.

How do I make a flight booking using my points?

You can make a booking using your points by logging into your account at www.myJet2.com and visiting the 'Spend my points' page or by calling the Jet2.com call centre on 0871 226 1737. There will be a small charge per person per flight for all redemption bookings made via the Jet2.com call centre.

Can I make flight bookings on-line using points?

Yes, you can do this by logging into your account at www.myjet2.com and visiting the 'Spend my points' page.

Are there any restrictions on spending points?

Jet2.com may vary from time to time the flights on which you can spend your points, for example certain flights at peak departure times, on peak dates (e.g. bank holidays, school holidays, major sporting events, etc.) and/or certain routes which may have very limited availability or may be unavailable for redemption purposes altogether. We recommend that you book early for the best choice of flights.

How many points will I need to pay for a flight?

You will need 600 points to pay for a one-way flight in Zone 1 (e.g. Leeds - Alicante (1200 points for a return)) and 1200 points for a one-way flight in Zone 2 (e.g. Leeds - Tenerife (2400 for a return)). To view how many points are required for a particular destination view the myJet2 zone map.

If I am a member and book a redemption ticket for someone else, do I have to travel with them?

No, provided you make the booking, you do not have to travel.

Can I make a redemption booking at the airport?

No, redemption bookings have to be made either online via the website, or via the myJet2 call centre.

Do points have an expiry date?

Yes, myJet2 points will expire 2 years after the date they are credited to your account. To see the expiry status of all your points, log into your account at www.myJet2.com and visit the 'My points' page. Please note, where you have a nil points balance for three months, your 'My points' page will be removed.

If I spend my points on flights, are they completely free?

The points will cover the base fare, however you will have to pay airport taxes and charges, baggage charges or other supplements.

Is there a different redemption price for children?

The redemption price for children is the same as for an adult.

Is there a different redemption price for infants?

Infants (under 2 years) travel for zero points, but applicable taxes and charges will still have to be paid.

Can I spend my points on one-way bookings?

You can spend your points on either one-way or return bookings.

If I am booking a flight using myJet2 points, is there an advanced purchase deadline?

No, provided there is availability, reward flights can be booked at any time even on the day of travel up to 2 hours prior to departure.

Are there any embargo periods?

There are no embargo periods for flight redemptions, however all reward flights are subject to availability and if you are planning to fly during in peak travel times (bank holidays, school holidays, major sporting events, etc.), or on a popular route or at a popular flight time, Jet2.com recommends booking early and being flexible with your dates and /or flight times.

Can I club together with other myJet2 members to redeem our joint points?

No, unfortunately we do not permit the pooling of points.

Changes to myJet2 Bookings

How do I make changes to my redemption booking?

You can make a date change online via Manage my Booking on the www.jet2.com website, but any other changes, including name changes, need to be made via the Jet2.com call centre on 0871 226 1737.

What happens to my points if I cancel my flight on which I earned or redeemed points?

If you need to cancel your flight any points spent will not be re-credited to your account. Any points earned will remain in your account.

What happens to my points if I change the passenger name or date of a flight on which I earned points?

Where you change the name of the passenger (not including your name as the myJet2 member - see below) or the date of the flight, your points earned on the original booking will automatically be recalculated and transferred to your revised booking on the basis of the myJet2 terms and conditions in place at the time of such change. Any change may result in a decrease in points earned. With effect from 10th April 2013, there will be no increase in points earned. If you replace your name on a booking with another name you won't earn points because you, as the myJet2 member, are no longer travelling and any points earned for the original booking will be deducted from your account.

If you replace another name on a booking with your name, you won't earn points on the booking because you, as the myJet2 member, were not included on the original booking.

What happens to my points if I change the passenger name on a flight on which I redeemed points

We allow name changes to bookings paid for using points subject to Jet2.com's Terms and Conditions and subject to the terms below.

If redemption seats are available on your flight at the point you make a name change, your points will automatically transfer to your revised booking, although the effect on your points will depend on the status of the flight when you make the name change, as follows:

  • If at the time of name change the flight requires more points than when originally booked and you have those points available, you will be obliged to redeem the additional points.
  • If at the time of name change the flight requires more points than when originally booked but you do not have those points available, you will be obliged to pay the difference in fare between the flight cost at the time of the original booking and the flight cost when making the name change. The points originally redeemed will not be re-credited.
  • If at the time of name change the flight requires the same number of points as when originally booked, no further points will be need to be redeemed.
  • If at the time of name change the flight requires less redemption points than when originally booked, the excess points you redeemed on your original booking will not be re-credited.

In each case, you will also have to pay the administration charge in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

If redemption seats are no longer available at the time of name change you will be obliged to pay the difference in fare between the flight cost at the time of the original booking and the flight cost when making the name change, plus the administration charge in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

What happens to my points if I change the date of a flight on which I redeemed points?
