Can I change my booking once I have checked in on line?

No – once you have checked in on line – no further changes are permitted to that booking.

What time should I check-in?

Our airport check-in desks open two to three hours before the scheduled departure time and close 40 minutes (30 minutes on domestic flights for passengers with hand baggage only) before scheduled departure by which time passengers must have completed the checking-in process.

At Jet2.com, we work hard to achieve on-time departures and, as there are mandatory preparations and calculations that can only be completed after check in has closed, we regret that it is highly unlikely that you will be permitted to travel if you arrive late.

We strongly recommend all passengers to check-in no later than 2 hours before the scheduled departure time. If you are planning to travel with excess baggage please allow extra time to complete the check-in process.

I have heard that the Spanish require passengers' info including passport number, in advance of travel. When and how will you ask me for this information?

From 13 June 2007, as part of measures to ensure aviation safety and security, the Spanish Government requires all airlines to provide compulsory information on passengers departing the UK for Spain. This information includes full given name, nationality, date of birth and passport number.

Jet2.com are complying with the request for API (advance passenger information). We are investing in new technology to collect the necessary information at check-in and we do not, therefore, anticipate any extra queuing times for our passengers. Passengers using our online check-in facility will be able to provide their data at the "fast bag-drop", if they have baggage to check-in, or at the departure gate, if they have hand baggage only.

However, it is sensible to remind all our passengers that check in for international flights closes strictly 40 minutes prior to departure, by which time you must have completed the check in process. We continue to strongly recommend that all passengers arrive at the departure airport no later than 1 hour 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time in order to allow sufficient time to complete the check in process and clear Airport Security. If you are planning to travel with excess baggage please allow extra time.

What time do I need to be at the Boarding Gate?

You must be at the Boarding Gate no later than 20 minutes before the scheduled time of departure. Please note that flights cannot wait for passengers delayed at Security points within the airport.

Flight Times

All flight times are local and in 24 hour clock. For flights that are very early in the morning (i.e. just after midnight) check-in opens the previous evening 2 hours before the time of your departure. For example: A flight at 00:30 on Monday the 23rd departs in the very early hours of Monday morning so check-in opens at 22:30 on the evening of Sunday the 22nd.

Schedule changes or cancellations

In the unlikely event of any schedule changes or cancellations, we will notify you by email to the email address provided at the time of making your booking. From the View or Change Booking function on the Home page of our website you can view your booking itinerary, request a further email confirmation or select a different email address to which you wish the confirmation to be sent. Please note it is a condition of our contract with you that you recheck your flight times between 24 and 72 hours prior to travelling. If you change your contact email address you must notify our Call Centre, quoting your booking reference, so your reservation record can be updated.

Which departure terminal should I go to?

For information on which terminal you should go to for check-in, please either visit our flight information page or see your printed copy of the booking confirmation. Very occasionally the departure or arrival terminal we use at a particular airport may change and so it is always recommended to double check the details of your departure and arrival terminals on our website shortly before travel, especially if you have booked your flight some time in advance.
