    About Barcelona (Andorra)

    The Location

You can reach the ski resorts quite simply by public transport or hire car, while taxi ranks will have designated spaces outside the airport so you can wait to grab a cab to your destination.

    The Highlights

    • Grandvalira spans across four staggering valleys.
    • Snowboarders can enjoy 100m of superpipe in La Molina.
    • The mega-resort of Soldeu El Tarter houses a vast number of easy and intermediate slopes.

    The Transfers

Bus – The main bus routes run outside the airport and into the city, so you can hop on different routes to the resorts. If you want a more hassle-free transport option, car hire, taxis and trains would be better.

Car rental – Visit Jet2carhire.com to arrange the lowest price on hire cars from a wide range of suppliers, available to pick up from Barcelona Airport.

Taxis – Wait in line outside your terminal and taxis will pull up. You’ll be able to take a trip to your ski resort from there with ease.

Private transfersJet2transfers are offered by holidaytaxis.com, so you can choose the ideal transfer from the airport to a huge range of ski resorts.

    The Resorts

    Soldeu El Tarter
First-time skier? If you’re looking for a fantastic base for starting out, you can’t beat Soldeu El Tarter. Made up of two large resorts, you’ll have over 85 easy and intermediate pistes to check out. The more hardened bunch can go rogue on the moguls and black routes before chilling out in the many buzzing bars down the valley. Find out more about Soldeu El Tarter.

    Pal-Arinsal
Enjoy some peace in this gorgeous Catalan village. All around the mountainside, you’ll find great runs for beginners and mid-level skiers, plus daring black runs for pro boarders. Some of Andorra’s best black slopes are here in Pal-Arinsal! Make sure you save some time for snowbiking, too. Find out more about Pal-Arinsal.

    La Molina
Skiing and snowboarding opportunities are at their peak in La Molina. The resort’s also played host to various snow sports on the calendar, and has a skating rink and extensive superpipe to test your nerves. It wouldn’t be Spain’s oldest ski resort without a claim to superb tapas within their après-ski programme. Find out more about La Molina.

    The Events

Commonly known as the Snowboxx venue, Andorra now has another major act to its name – Innovation in the Snow, held between 17-19 March. This new-for-2016 festival is lit up with food huts, igloo discos and some of the biggest DJs in drum and bass. There’s even dog sledding, for something novel.
