Barcelona Always Has Something to Offer

As one of the largest cities in Europe, Barcelona is a hub for a host of different entertainment, arts and media events. Visitors to the Spanish city will never be left wanting for things to do or places to visit and with cheap flights to Barcelona from Jet2.com currently in abundance, March is a great time to take advantage of what it has to offer.

   

 

For the rest of this month, Barcelona will be playing host to the Sitges Vintage Car Rally. As the name implies, the aim of the event is to celebrate cars from the mid-twentieth century, with some dating as far back as 1924.

Classic Cars and Short Films 

The various vehicles that take part in the rally will start their race in the Spanish city’s centre and finish at the Port Aigualdolc in Sitges. As well as watching the competition in progress on Sunday, you can get up close and see the cars on Saturday at Barcelona’s Parc de la Ciutadella.

   

From the 8th to the 17th of April, Barcelona’s International Short Film Festival, Mecal, will take place. The event attracts filmmakers and fans from all around the world, and its programme includes a diverse range of material gathered from thousands of entries.

 

From comedy to horror, documentary to music videos, the films screened certainly have something to offer everyone, and attending the festival will surely allow you to see some movies you wouldn’t be able to see elsewhere. The festival will take place across several venues in Barcelona.
