Croatian Wines No Longer an Undiscovered Gem

The sprawling vineyards of Istria, Croatia have finally received the recognition they deserve, having been named one of the top ten emerging wine regions by

Istria in Croatia

Recommended by tourists themselves, this accolade highlights the fantastic flavours of Istrian wine, crafted by a new generation of winemakers and bringing wine lovers to the region from all over the globe, even luring visitors away from the ever-popular region of Dalmatia.

As so-called ‘wine tourism’ continues to be on the rise, this is great time to visit Istria and take advantage of the countless cheap holiday deals to the area that are available, before the inevitable crowds descend.

An Affordable Alternative

Cheap flights to Istria would also make a great alternative to the more expensive wine region of Tuscany in Italy, which is often the first choice for holidaymakers hoping to indulge in a wine tasting session or two whilst they’re away.

As Istria remains relatively tourist-free, you’ll benefit from low prices and an authentic holiday experience meeting and mingling with the locals, who will no doubt be able to tell you a thing or two about Istrian wine themselves! The great climate around Istria will put you in the mood for a glass of wine too, as even outside the hot summer months the weather remains pleasant with a warm breeze.
