Extend the 2012 Summer of Sport with an Algarve Tennis Break

11th October 2012 • Posted in Announcements

It is not only the London 2012 Olympics that have inspired people to get up from their sofas and start being more active, as the incredible success of Scotland’s Andy Murray during the summer has seen people taking to the tennis courts like never before.

Racquets are being pulled out of storage and dusted off and once again are seeing the action they were intended for, but unfortunately summer in the UK is now just a memory, making it now a perfect time to head to sunnier climes.

Soak up the Late Summer Sun

Although the Algarve is probably best known for its incredible range of golf courses and golfing holidays, it is also the perfect place to brush up on your tennis skills. You will find tennis courts all over the Algarve located in leisure centres and public parks, as well as specialist clubs and holiday resorts.

With the Algarve experiencing a staggering 300 days of beautiful sunshine every year it is unlikely that you will ever have to abandon a game because of rain, unlike at home where it has almost become the norm!

Stay and Play

Make sure you check out all of the facilities on offer in your chosen destination before you book to make sure you have access to courts and equipment. Once that’s confirmed, arrange some cheap flights to the Algarve through, and before you know it you could be out on the courts and ready to give any of the top flight players a run for their money!
