« Back voted best in the UK by Telegraph readers

The leading friendly low fare operator secured second place in the ‘Best Low-Cost Airline’ category of the Telegraph Travel Awards 2008, just behind German carrier Air Berlin.

The announcement secures’s position as the UK’s leading low fare airline amongst UK consumers, after also being named the UK’s Best Short Haul Airline by readers of the Guardian and Observer in October.

For both awards, fought off stiff competition from a raft of its low fare competitors who failed to make an impact on either poll, both voted for by the public. The Telegraph Travel Awards polled over 25,000 people – in Britain’s biggest travel survey - to reveal their spending habits, favourite destinations and top operators.
