New Ski Flight Takes Off As Edinburgh Airport Gets Customer Service Recognition

17th February 2011 • Posted in Ski

This Sunday’s newest flight service will take skiers and boarders from Edinburgh to Geneva, for their holidays on the snowy slopes of the Alps. The new route coincides with Edinburgh Airport being named one of Europe’s leading airports in The Airports Council International’s (ACI) Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards 2010.

The new flight will operate weekly on Sundays until the end of March – fares start from just £29.99 one way including taxes. Ski flights are already operating from Edinburgh to Salzburg and Chambery where fresh snow is currently creating great ski conditions.

The ASQ Passenger Survey examines a range of measures that track the customer experience at an airport from the moment of arrival at the airport to the departure gate.  This award shows that passengers believe that Edinburgh Airport’s facilities and customer standards are among the best in Europe, an excellent reflection on the customer focus and investment in facilities that the airport has seen over the last few years. The Capital’s airport was named with Malta, Porto, Zurich and Copenhagen as the top 5 airports for customer service and facilities in Europe. prides itself on its friendly service, so it’s great that Edinburgh Airport also values its customer and their experience – well done Edinburgh and happy skiing to those jetting off to the mountains!
