The Timanfaya National Park is the star attraction in Lanzarote and it’s easy to see why. You’ll have the chance to explore a lunar landscape of volcanoes and craters. Plus, you can even visit a restaurant to enjoy food cooked by the geothermal heat underground!
The late local artist Cesar Manrique has left an incredible legacy on the island. You can visit the Cesar Manrique Foundation to discover his truly unique house made of volcanic lava bubbles. There’s also the volcanic tunnel of Jameos del Agua that has a stunning underground lake and bar.
There are plenty of beach resorts to choose from across the island, and you can look forward to a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere at each one. Their low-rise buildings are designed in harmony with the stunning surroundings, but you’ll still find lots of great bars, restaurants, markets and commercial centres, whether you stay at Costa Teguise, Playa Blanca or Puerto del Carmen.
