Child / Infant Equipment

If you are travelling with an infant or child, a collapsible pushchair and/or a car seat and/or a travel cot may be carried in the hold free of charge, as long as the total weight of these items does not exceed 10kg. Anything exceeding this will be charged for in line with our excess baggage policy, subject to space and availability. Please see the Hold Baggage Allowances and Excess Baggage section of these FAQs for more information.

Travel Cots
You will need to check any travel cots into the aircraft hold at the Jet2.com check-in desk.

You may take a pushchair to the aircraft, where it will have to be collapsed and loaded into the aircraft hold by our team. You can pick it up again on the baggage reclaim carrousel at your destination.

Car Seats
You can check in car seats into the aircraft hold or, if your car seat is suitable for use on board our aircraft, it may be taken on board. Such car seats must be front facing and of the type that can be properly secured on the aircraft seat by use of the normal aircraft seat lap straps. The standard dimensions of our aircraft seats are: depth 43cm, width 44cm and height 70.5cm.

If you want to use your own infant car seat, you must purchase an aircraft seat which will be charged at the appropriate fare. For safety reasons, a window seat will be allocated wherever possible. Due to the variety of infant car seats available, it is not possible for us to guarantee in advance that any particular seat is suitable for use onboard. In the interests of safety,Jet2.com reserves the right to refuse permission for the use of certain types of car seats on the aircraft or during take-off and landing. In these circumstances, the infant must be carried on the adult’s lap (under 2 years) or in a seat using the standard lap belt (2 years and over).
