Arrival Transfer Information

On arrival at Newark Airport you may have booked onward travel from the airport, here are our handy tips for getting to the big apple.

  • Pre-booked Jet2holidays Transfer

    If you booked transfers as part of your package, exit arrivals and our Jet2citybreaks Customer Helpers will be waiting to meet you as you exit customs. Just look out for our familiar red uniform and Jet2CityBreaks ‘Welcome to New York’ signs. Please have your transfer voucher ready.

  • By Train

    You can reach Manhattan by train, exit arrivals and up to level 2 following the signs for the AirTrain. Once on the Airtrain, head towards the ‘Newark Liberty Airport Train Station’ and connect to a New Jersey Transit Train direct to Maddison Square Gardens on 34th Street. You can purchase your ticket using the orange machines located at the entrance to both the AirTrain and at Newark Liberty Airport Train Station.

  • By Taxi

    You can reach Manhattan by taxi, exit arrivals straight through to the airport curb side where you will find the famous yellow cabs waiting. Alternatively, you can use your smart phone and a suitable application to order a taxi, once you have selected your pick-up zone head to down level 1 for collection. Remember you arrive into terminal B when selecting your pick-up point.

New York Flights – Important Security Information

There will be a limit to the amount of powder you can take in your hand luggage on flights to the USA. This may include but isn’t limited to protein powders, talc, laundry power and gravy granules. For security reasons, if you want to take any powder products larger than 350ml (12oz, 340g), they’ll need to go in your checked baggage – you cannot take them on board with you.

  • There are some exceptions:

  • Travelling with your baby – you can bring along their baby formula

  • Powdered medication over 350ml (12oz, 340g) – with a letter from your medical practitioner.

  • Travelling with human remains – with the relevant death certificate
