Santa Teresa Di Gallura


On the Northern tip of Sardinia is Santa Teresa Di Gallura boasting long white beaches and a relaxed pace of life making the resort an idllyic sunbathing retreat. The main beach is the Rena Bianca, meaning ‘white sand’ and is a great place to start your holidays and soak up some rays.

Start at Santa Teresa Di Gallura’s Church which leads towards the stone steps that descend onto the beach then relax in your sunlounger taking in the sights of Corsica’s white cliffs in the distance. With soft sand and shallow waters Rena Bianca is an excellent beach for the kids and is also fully equipped for disabled people.

Scuba diving and fishing are both popular activities in Santa Teresa Di Gallura because of the warm inviting waters; expect to see stunning coloured coral and various species under the waters.

In the evening head to the Bar Rena Bianca set on the Rena Bianca beach where you can enjoy a drink or two looking out across the shores, as the sun goes down.

Capa Testa

It’s definitely worth a visit to the Capa Testa beach nearby to see the strange rock formations of the cliffs and then take a walk to the lighthouse for the best views of the coast. The beach also features some interesting ancient ruins including some columns from the Romantic age and the sea offers opportunities for snorkelling, canoeing as well as renting pedaloes.

Cala Grande

Known as Moon Valley, the Cala Grande is a picturesque trio of beaches near Santa Teresa Di Gallura which are a must see when you visit Sardinia. With gigantic rocks dominating the surrounding scenery these beaches are a stunning place to visit and became popular after the Sixties when groups of hippies chose to camp out under the stars in this striking area of the island.
