Jet2.com waves off first flight to Geneva from Newcastle Airport

Skiers and snowboarders from Newcastle Airport have taken off to Geneva with Jet2.com on Sunday 19th December, after the company’s inaugural flight took off from the base. 

The flight marked the launch of the new ski route from Newcastle Airport to Geneva and means snow sports enthusiasts in the region can now reach the Swizz slopes with Jet2.com.  

With weekly Sunday services operating to the popular ski destination from 19th December to 2nd January and then weekly Saturday services from 8th January to 16th April, it gives skiers and snowboarders plenty of opportunity to grab a piste of the action.  

As well as offering flights to Geneva this winter, Jet2.com will operate a new route to Salzburg from Newcastle Airport.  

The full Jet2.com ski programme from Newcastle Airport for Winter 21/22 is as follows: 

  • Geneva – weekly Sunday services from now to 2nd January and then weekly Saturday services from 8th January to 16th April. 
  • Salzburg – weekly Saturday services from 12th February to 19th March.
