The resort

Neighbouring the popular Les Arcs, La Plagne is a tangle of 11 inner villages and resorts, all deeply snow-topped to really pull in the mid-level skiers. It has over 100 lifts to take you wherever you desire.

Centre of attention

La Plagne has been growing ever since 1961. It now has 11 resorts to its name, all with an alpine village feel, which curve out into stretches of white across the valley. Belle Plagne and Montchavin offer some of the most inviting routes and scenery.

Go off-piste

Some of the daring black slopes aren’t fully marked, so certain elements are entirely off-piste – this is the ultimate way to put your skills to the test. There’s also a half-pipe and super half-pipe for more experienced skiers and snowboarders.

Night lights

A series of animated and lively events are put on across the season. The ‘Torchlight’ experience is one of the most enchanting. In Montchavin, instructors from the ski schools descend down the slopes in torchlight. It makes for a magnificent evening, wrapped up with a mug of cocoa.

The highlights

  • Visit the Olympic bobsleigh and luge runs for a real winter experience.
  • Quiet powder slopes are ideal for intermediates.
  • The Snowpark has four levels of difficulty to conquer.
