La Tania ski resort

The location

In the prestigious Courchevel area of the Three Valleys, La Tania is a relatively small resort with lots to offer. It’s easy to find as well – between 175km and 185km from major airports Geneva, Grenoble and Lyon.

The resort

Built for housing during the 1992 Albertville Olympics, the cosy resort with its no-car zone is extremely easy to get around, and it retains the silence of the surrounding snow. La Tania really pulls in the expert skiers, but you can still go at your own pace and soak up the scenery.

The youngest valley

The Three Valleys area is a well-known hub for skiers and snowboarders, with whopping mountainous sights and incredible slopes for all abilities. 130km of pistes turns into 600km if you fancy heading further afield, but the quaint La Tania is the youngest, freshest valley.

Perfect pipes

The powdered pipes lend themselves to avid snowboarders, with plenty of curvaceous, snowy inclines to provide a challenge. Freestylers can hit the snow parks, too. Of the amazing black mogul runs, ‘The Ugly Sisters’ is the toughest of the bunch, and not for rookies.

Chalet life

The small resort is filled with slopes running through the town and the hills are scattered with cosy chalets. Bed down in the gorgeous wooden buildings in the centre, or wander upwards and settle into a hidden mountainside retreat. Either way, it’s utterly tranquil.

The highlights

  • Convenient setting between Courchevel and Méribel.
  • Small resort with very easy access to all slopes, eateries and amenities.
  • Wide range of nightlife to suit everyone.
