The resort

Peaceful but popular, Vaujany is a top spot for skiing, especially if you aren’t too proficient – yet! The astounding historic accommodation shows off the resort’s traditional elements with a few modern slants. You’ll be met by the calm atmosphere of this hidden wintery gem, complete with 46km of downhill piste and a lengthy stretch of cross country trails.

Well connected

Linking to the major Alpe d’Huez resort, you’ll have heaps of slopes to choose from in Vaujany and its surrounding area. Explore the charming alpine landscape by ski or board. It boasts an excellent snowfall record and has a massive array of runs catering for total beginners, families and leisurely holidaymakers.

Dreamy descents

Just because there are so many slopes for beginners doesn’t mean that there aren’t tricked-out terrain parks for snowboarders. Get ready to ollie your way down the fringed zones, with their challenging runs, gulleys and couloirs spanning the mystifying powder. Why not stay out until late and enjoy 3km of night skiing?

Food fix

There’s après-ski and then there’s the sort of fine French fare that’s abundant in Vaujany. Sample Swiss cheeses, tuck into wood-fired pizzas and savour morsels of perfectly seasoned steak. There’s also a creperia if you’ve got a sweet tooth. Bliss. As the evening draws to a close, head to the bars or turn in and relax chalet-style.
