The resort

The sweeping resort is made up of coarse terrain for snowboarders and assured icy powder for keen skiers. With its glacial backdrop and quiet nature, there’s plenty of room for spreading out and hitting the slopes without the bustling and barging of more typically popular destinations. The quaint lodges add that cosy feel to it all.

Gorgeous glacier

The maximum height of the slopes reaches all the way up the glowing glacier, with the snow glittering in the sun. The majority of trails are geared towards intermediates, but the focus on beginners is really great – a ski school offers the ultimate snow-conquering tips. Daring black runs cross through the trees, and there’s a whopping 700m drop on the Paradiso.

Out and about

30 lifts will take you around the landscape, so you can go wherever you fancy starting! Some of the runs are also linked to larger areas, including Ponte di Legno. The views of Presena arch around the resort, so keep your eyes peeled on the move.

Alpine ambience

The resort’s Italian-Austrian border has afforded it a history predating the winter sports. But the little alpine retreat is great for peaceful exploration, chilled-out après-ski and hot chocolates to warm your cockles.

The highlights

  • A quiet resort with plenty of space for uninterrupted skiing and snowboarding.
  • Challenging drops and black runs.
  • Set on a large glacier with plenty of snowfall guaranteed.
