The resort

Trudge through the snowy streets as you wander around the resort all neatly spread across the hillside. Verbier has amazing altitudes and sits within the prestigious Four Valleys area, with a mix of stunning, fresh pistes and rugged and challenging wintery terrain.

A-list atmosphere

Verbier is something of an exclusive, elite pick within a large band of celebrities and A-listers. It’s no wonder – the spacious mahogany chalets with their stone chimneys and thick wedges of rooftop snow certainly have a pull. Crowned with gleaming peaks and far-reaching views of Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn, Verbier is nothing short of stunning.

Free rein

Stick to a steady pace as you carve through the terrain parks and check out the kicks and rails. Freestyling is a snowboard trickster’s dream here, and there’s 2,500m of piste if you include the rest of the staggering Four Valleys. You’ll be dazzled by the clean couloirs and ski mountaineering, too.

Swish après-ski

Wines, malts and other moonlight tipples – what else is there after a long day on the slopes? The après-ski is utterly splendid, with Verbier’s brightly lit pubs, VIP clubs and bubbly discos. Cocktail bars specialise in Long Island Ice Tea, and various restaurants have all the tasty Swiss delicacies you could wish for in this luxury retreat.

The highlights

  • The resort has a very exclusive feel to it.
  • Slopes tailored particularly for intermediates and snowboarders.
  • Lively après-ski scene, from bars and restaurants to music and evening entertainment.
