Jimenez, one of the biggest personalities in professional golf, opened his golfing academy in the Costa del Sol resort of Torremolinos. The new venture is home to a nine-hole golf course and a putting green, both of which have been specifically designed by Jimenez.
Jimenez commented on the opening of the new academy at its launch, saying:
"This is a dream come true as golf has given me everything and I want to give back. My goal was to develop and promote golf in this area and it’s been achieved with the opening of the Academy."
He commented on the future plans for the academy too, saying:
"The land is a 50-year concession from the Town Hall. We have very popular prices and will be focused mainly on children and families with special discounts for them."
