On Sunday 31st August a five-man strong Jet2holidays team took part in the Yorkshire Dales Rider cycling challenge, raising awareness and money for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
There were two courses that entrants could choose to tackle: a 31 mile challenger ride or a 65 mile gear grinder.
There were a couple of really challenging hills on both courses with the addition of a few fairly steep climbs along the longer course, but the team managed to finish without too many aches the following day!
The annual event, in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Research and sponsored by Ilkley Cycles, will see the highest fundraiser receive a 5*cycling holiday for two to the Sandos San Blas in Tenerife, courtesy of Jet2holidays!
Jennifer Gaunt from Jet2holidays commented “Even though I was beaten by a couple on a tandem, it was still a fantastic ride and an absolutely perfect day for it. The scenery up in the Dales was second to none and I’ll definitely be riding again next year to support a great cause.”
