20th July 2023: Jet2.com and Jet2holidays waved off their first flight to Malaga from Bristol Airport this morning (Thursday 20th July), when their inaugural flight to the Spanish city departs. 

The busy flight will mark the start of the leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator giving local customers a taste of Spain by operating up to four weekly services (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) to Malaga from Bristol Airport until 19th November. Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are expanding their programme even more next week from Bristol Airport, as their inaugural flight to Crete (Chania) will depart from Bristol Airport on 24th July, offering weekly Monday services until 30th October.   

The start of flights and holidays to Malaga and Chania is part of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ expanded programme for Summer 23 from Bristol Airport. In addition, packages are also on sale through Jet2CityBreaks to the historic city of Malaga. 

Located on the south coast of Spain, Malaga is a city full of life with grand castles and gardens sitting on the shimmering Mediterranean. Dating back to Roman times, the city offers ancient arenas, Moorish fortresses, baroque cathedrals and neoclassical palaces. Ideal for a city break in both summer and winter, Malaga also boasts a modern edge with an abundance of contemporary art, cultural seafood dining, shopping promenades and lively fiestas. 

For customers looking to spend their holiday hopping between picturesque harbours, emerald-green gorges and sparkling lakes, they should look no further than a charming getaway to Chania. Located on the western side of the Greek island of Crete, there is a whole menu of Blue Flag beaches for them to soak up the sunshine. Stunning Venetian mansions, fountains and churches will also greet customers as they stroll around the well-preserved historical monuments of the Old Town.
