Thursday 11th September - Traffic Disruption Barcelona Area
Je2.com have been advised that on 11th September there will be demonstrations in the Barcelona area in respect of the National Day of Catalonia. As this may cause traffic disruption, we advise all customers to allow plenty of time to make their way to and from the airport on this date.
Volcanic Activity in Iceland
Jet2.com is aware of the volcanic activity in Iceland and we will continue to monitor the situation closely. The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is Jet2.com’s highest priority and in the event of an eruption Jet2.com will liaise with the relevant safety authorities to ensure that it is safe to continue our flying program. We will post any updates regarding the situation here on the website.

Monday 04 August 2014 to Monday 22 September 2014 – Road Work Affecting East Midlands Airport
Jet2.com have been advised that from Monday 04 August until Monday 22 September there will be some major road works taking place in the vicinity of East Midlands airport, these works will include the closure of the M1 at junction 24. There is a high chance that this will cause significant traffic congestion around this area during the evenings and at weekends.
We advise all Jet2.com customers travelling on any flights from East Midlands during this period to allow plenty of time to make their way to the airport in time for check in as all flights will be planned to operate on time and check in will close accordingly.

Increased Security Measures Regarding Electrical Equipment
The UK Department of Transport have advised that there are plans to increase security restrictions regarding chargeable electronic devices (such as tablets, phones and laptops). Our current advice is that when travelling you ensure all such devices are charged and that if requested you are able to demonstrate that these switch on.

There are currently no other specific restrictions and in the meantime, we request all customers to ensure that any such devices are sufficiently charged prior to travel.
