The splendid coast of Forte dei Marmi boasts 5kms of soft, sandy, golden beach, with a long beachfront promenade lined with magnificent palm trees. The crystal-clear sea is a regular winner of the ‘blue flag’ water quality rating and offers safe bathing for everyone.

Only a few kilometres from the sea is the Apuan Alps mountain chain which peaks to nearly 2000m. A visit to the awe-inspiring marble quarries of the Apuan is a must for visitors. While trekking in the Apuan park or climbing some of its well-known peaks is great for the more energetic traveller!

There are excellent shops and boutiques galore, all showing the latest creations of the world’s greatest fashion designers with exceptional accessories and jewellery. There is also a famous open-air market in the town centre, every Wednesday morning, which attracts many visitors.
