Jet2.com has reunited three lost teddies with their 6-year-old owner, after the soft toys went missing on a family holiday in Costa de Almeria.
Oliver Simpson from Heywood, Manchester, had just arrived at the hotel for a holiday with his parents, Jill and Stewart, when the family realised that a bag containing Oliver’s much-loved teddies was missing.
After alerting a Jet2holidays’ Customer Helper that the family had lost one of their bags, the team immediately launched a search to find the missing teddies.
Airport Customers Helpers, Enrique Juste Garcia and Angela Scott, worked together with Resort Customer Helpers, Martyna Kulaszewska and Christina Fischer, who all work for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays in Costa de Almeria, to track down the bears. Luckily, the teddies were found on the coach that had taken the family from the airport to their hotel.
With the teddies safely found, the team then got to work to ensure Oliver was reunited with his beloved friends, but not before making the reunion with Oliver memorable. Before being reunited with Oliver, the team took the bears on an adventure at the airport and pictured them having a drink in a café, helping to check in customers’ luggage and directing holidaymakers to their transfer coaches.
Resort Customer Helper, Justina Tarvydaite, also stepped in and wrote a letter to Oliver from his teddies, telling Oliver all about the adventures they had been on at the airport. Oliver was reunited with his bears at Almeria Airport on his departure back to the UK, as well as receiving the special story about his teddies’ airport adventures. After the big reunion, Oliver, his parents and his three fluffy friends all flew back to the UK.
Oliver’s Mum, Jill, said: “When my son left his bag on the coach containing his teddies, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays literally went above and beyond to find and reunite Oliver with them! Not only did they locate his belongings, but they also showed Oliver the adventures his teddies went on whilst we were on holiday. This was magical and so thoughtful. My little boy was over the moon, and I even shed some tears! What a brilliant company with such caring staff.”
